Recycling

What can I recycle?

This section provides information about what you can recycle and how.

The principal ways in which you can recycle are:

Currently residents can recycle the following through our door to door service.

Residents can recycle the following at recycling sites. Not all sites accept everything so please check first.

Electrical and electronic equipment

Many other items can be taken directly to the rubbish tip for recycling. These include waste electrical and electronic equipment recycling (WEEE).

Bulky plastic

Earlswood and Epsom Community Recycling Centres (formerly named the Civic Amenity Site), which is run by Surrey County Council, has recently introduced a bulky plastic recycling service.

The following materials are suitable for recycling via the bulky plastics service;

The recycling process includes two magnets, so small metal components are fine, such as parts on children's toys e.g. axles on a large plastic truck.

Not suitable for bulky plastics recycling
