Your local recycling sites

This section provides links to information about the recycling centres in your nearest town or village.

Please read about the types of materials you can recycle, then view the Recycling centres page to find the recycling site nearest to you.

Please do not place plastic bags inthe recycling bins as this causes problems when we take our recycling to our reprocessors. Please recycle your plastic carrier bags at your local supermarket.

Glass bottles and jars

Green, brown and clear glass

Glass needs to be colour-segregated into green, clear and brown glass. Any unusual colours should be placed in the green glass bank.

You can recycle all food and drink cans. Please wash and squash before placing them in the recycling banks.

Please note we cannot accept aerosols, foil or scrap metal.

Paper and cardboard

Paper and card

All types of paper and cardboard can be recycled, including

Cardboard needs to be flat-packed for placing in the banks.

We cannot accept terta paks (drink cartons) due to the polyethylene and aluminium lining as our paper mill is unable to separate out the paper.

Textiles

Textiles

All clothing, shoes and soft toys can be placed in these banks.

We can accept clean clothing, paired shoes, curtains, towels and fabrics, sheets, blankets and pillow cases.

Please note we cannot accept duvets, pillows, carpets, rugs, and off cuts.

If the items are in good condition then they will be re-sold in charity shops.

If they are not in good condition they will be re-used in upholstery and other similar uses.

Plastic bottles

Plastic bottles

We accept plastic bottles at our bins.

We can only accept plastic bottles at our recycling banks. We are unable to currently recycle yoghurt pots, margarine tubs, plastic bags and food trays.
