SurreyWaste.info

The local authorities in Surrey have worked together to create a great website called SurreyWaste.info.

It provides the most comprehensive information on waste management in the county and provides some great advice on different ways in which you can recycle.

Recycle Now

The Recycle Now campaign has been created and will be run by WRAP, which stands for the Waste & Resources Action Programme. WRAP works closely with councils and retailers to make sure the recycling message is heard. 

WRAP is an independent organisation that is funded by Government - its job is to make recycling work better in the UK and to get more people recycling more stuff more often.

Swap It Surrey

Swap It is a website designed for those of you who don't just want to throw things away. You can find your unwanted items a new home by giving them away or swap them for something in return.

Furnistore

Are you replacing your furniture and don't want to see good quality items go to waste?

A Redhill based charity is able to re-use your items and redistribute them to the community.

The project accepts donations of items in good condition, including most household furniture and smaller items such as crockery and linen …basically everything that someone would need when setting up a home. 

Any soft furnishings that do not comply with fire safety regulations, or anything in poor condition cannot be accepted. In addition, please contact the projects for more information on donating your cookers, fridges and washing machines. 

Furnistore will pick up items for a minimum donation of £5 towards the collection costs.

Furnistore re-sell the second hand furniture at a reasonable price
