Licensing Authorities are being given various regulatory functions in relation to gambling. Here you will find the the Council's Statement of Policy, formal notice of publication as required by regulation and table of fees.

The main functions of licensing authorities are:

The Gambling Commission will have responsibility for dealing with personal licences and operating licences.

Reigate and Banstead Borough Council (R&BBC) is a licensing authority for the purposes of the Gambling Act 2005 (the Act).

In exercising most of their functions under the Act, licensing authorities must have regard to the licensing objectives as set out in section 1 of the Act.
