The Council works hard to ensure that food sold in the Borough is safe and will not harm us.
Our Environmental Health Officers are charged with enforcing laws relating to the production, preparation, transportation and sale of food.
In this section of the website we provide best practice advice to new and established food businesses. There is also a downloadable form to register as a food business.
The public can also find an explanation of the processes we go through, how to complain about food bought locally and information about food poisoning.
You can also find information on hygiene and food safety promotions the Council has carried out to raise awareness.
