Payment Difficulties
This section gives information on what to do if you have difficulty paying your council tax.
First make sure you are claiming any discounts, exemptions or council tax benefit you are entitled to.

If you are claiming all you are entitled to and are still having difficulty paying, contact the Council Tax section on 01737 276779 for advice.
Do not leave the matter until recovery action begins as this may result in extra costs and a summons being issued even where an arrangement for payment has been agreed.
