Best Value Explained
This section explains what Best Value practice is and the role of Best Value reviews
Best Value is a function undertaken across every Directorate of the Council at some point and it focuses on specific performances of the Council.
The Best Value Reviews process is 'owned' by the Executive but in a number of areas the Overview and Scutiny Committee undertakes reviews, often with panels, to support those reviews and makes recommendations to the Executive.
Personnel Services are currently being reviewed and those to be reviewed during 2004-05 are:
- Community Services
- Business Solutions
- Financial Services
