This section provides links with information about the Borough Council's Executive.
The Executive is responsible for most of the day to day decisions the Council takes.
The Executive, which meets every six weeks, consists of the Council Leader and a Cabinet of eight councillors, each of whom is allocated a specific portfolio responsibility.
The Executive is formed from the group holding the majority of seats in the Council.
It must act in accordance with Council policy and within set budgetary constraints. In cases where the Executive believes it is necessary to go beyond those boundaries, the decision is put before the full Council.
