We aim by 2009 to have
Worked and consulted with the community to identify the improvements which will most benefit local residents by
- Completing local community action plans which set out what individual communities want to achieve for their areas
- Gaining evidence to redirect 2.5% of our budget to local initiatives
Addressed anti-social behaviour and reduced the fear of crime by
- Showing a measurable reduction in the fear of crime and the number of anti-social incidents
Worked with our partners to enable access to a range of quality leisure, cultural and sports facilities by
- Implementing the first stage of a policy on leisure and cultural provision in youth development work
- Completed the restoration of Priory Park
- Completed our Pavilion refurbishment programme in specific local parks
Assisted in tackling social problems in Preston and Merstham by
- Achieving significant progress in implementing physical regeneration, and building community development in Preston and Merstham
