Consultations

This section provides information about a housing survey.

Consultation Overview

Over 6,600 households across the Borough have been selected to take part in a postal survey. As part of its ongoing commitment to assess future housing need in the Borough owner-occupiers, tenants of housing associations and people who privately rent will be asked for information about their current and future housing needs.

Who is consulting?

DCA, a housing consultant has been appointed by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council to undertake the survey.

Why are we consulting?

The survey results will help the Council to develop its housing and planning policies to meet the needs of local people over the next five years.   This valuable information will influence our housing priorities and will inform the Council’s Local Development Framework, which provides a structure to guide the use and development of land in the Borough.

Who are we consulting?

Over 6,600 households will receive postal housing surveys to ensure the survey is representative of the whole Borough’s population.

When will the consultation take place?

Surveys will be posted on the week commencing 27th June. Completed forms must be returned by Wednesday 20th July.   The consultants will report back to the Council in October.
