Consultations

This section provides information about our Dial-a-Ride consultation

Consultation Overview

We have some difficult decisions to make about the Dial-a-Ride service, some of the funding we receive is being withdrawn and the fleet of Dial-a-Ride buses is old and becoming unreliable and more and more expensive to maintain.  To continue to provide this service in its current form would require a bigger financial commitment from Reigate and Banstead Borough Council in the future, which is why we need to consult with our Council Tax payers and Dial-a-Ride users on the best way forward.

Who is consulting?

QCL Market Research on behalf of Reigate and Banstead Borough Council.

Why are we consulting?

We are consulting residents and Dial-a-Ride users before deciding how, or even if, we fund the Dial-a-Ride service in the future, with a range of possible options.

Who are we consulting?

1,000 residents within the borough and 644 existing users of the Dial-a-Ride service.

When will the consultation take place?

The questionnaires will be posted on 14th June one postal reminder will be sent - the results are expected for at the end of July for discussion by the Overview and Scrutiny Commission.
