Air quality consultation - Detailed Assessment 2004
This section provides information about an air quality consultation affecting residents in various locations in the centre and south of the Borough.
Consultation Overview
Reigate and Banstead Borough Council consulted with residents at a number of points around the Borough where air quality is predicted to breach the 2005 air quality objectives for nitrogen dioxide and an air quality management area is (or will be) declared.
Who was consulting?
The Environmental Health Services, Reigate and Banstead Borough Council.
Why did we consult?
To keep people informed of the issue, and to give people a chance to comment on it.
The Council pledged to take into account what is said as part of the subsequent action planning process to help reduce the pollution.
Who was consulted?
Residents and businesses affected by the proposed new air quality management areas, DEFRA, surrounding Borough Councils, the Mayor of London and the Highways Agency.
Other residents were also welcome to comment on the report.
