Lottery funding

This page contains information about funding available from UnLtd.

UnLtd receives funding from the National Lottery through the Millennium Commission. Level 1 grants are available of between £500 and £5,000, and level 2 grants range from £5,000 to £15,000, and level 2 grants range from £5,000 to £15,000. UnLtd gives out 1,000 level 1 awards each year. Level 2 awards are given out once in the spring and once in the winter.

UnLtd aims to provide funding and complete packages of support for social enterprises that are designed to benefit the local community. Level 1 funding is intended to be used towards the running costs of projects. Level 2 awards can be used to pay for the living expenses of award winners in order to help them devote more time to their projects.

Level 1 funding is aimed at individuals or informal groups who want to start a project in their spare time, whereas level 2 funding is aimed at projects that are already up and running. While there is no fixed deadline for applying for level 1 funding, level 2 funding 23 applications are set specific deadlines.

The next deadline for level 2 applications is now scheduled for spring 2007.
