This section contains information about grant funding from money raised by the Nation Lottery.
BIG Lottery Fund
Big Lottery Fund is responsible for giving out half the money for good causes raised by the National Lottery, giving us a budget of about £630 million a year. They are committed to bringing real improvements to communities and the lives of people most in need.

Advice Plus
Up to £50 million
Max Application: £10,000 to £500,000
Advice services give information, guidance and support to individuals and groups so that they can consider, understand and resolve problems that affect them.
BASIS (Building & Sustaining Infrastructure Services)
£155m (England)
Max Application: £500,000
Make infrastructure support available to all voluntary and community sector organisation in England
Breathing Places
£5 million (UK wide)
Max Application: £10,000 (to be spent within a year)Increase participation in breathing places by encouraging people to become actively involved in them
Changing Spaces
Up to £234 million
Max Application: (currently closed)
3 priority areas: Community spaces; Local community enterprise and Access to the natural environment

Community Buildings
Up to £50 million
Max Application: £50,001 to £500,000
Gives communities a chance to improve their quality of life by funding buildings that are economically and socially and environmentally sustainable.
Community Learning (Libraries)
Libraries £80m/ Family Learning - £40m
Max Application: £250,000 to £2 million
Libraries have an important role in the community and we want our funding to strengthen the relationship between them. We want to fund libraries that are more than traditional library services and work with their communities.
International programme
Up to £72m (UK-wide)
Max Application: £1 million to £5 million
The International programme is Big Lottery Fund’s way of helping disadvantaged communities overseas.
Living Landmarks
Up to £140m (UK wide)
Max Application: £10 million to £25 million
Communities, individuals, businesses working together to make real differences to their quality of lives and environment.
People’s Millions
Up to £66.5m (UK wide)

Playful Ideas (Children’s Play)
Up to £16 million
Application: £10,000 to £250,000 (over five years)
Innovation in play (i.e. a creative and novel approach)
