Surgeries held at Help Shops

This section provides information about the surgeries held at the Council's Help Shops.

• Accent Peerless (Housing Association)
  A Housing Officer is available, by appointment, to answer tenants' queries and provide advice.
• Alzheimers Society
  A weekly surgery to give support and advice to the carers of those with dementia.
• Business Link
  Clinics to provide the information, advice and support you need to maintain and grow a business. 
• Carers Help Desk
  Partnership of carers support agencies offering advice, information, support and help with benefit claims. 
• Community Housing Officer
  The Housing Officer supports the placement of special needs clients in the private sector.
• Connexions
  Careers and training Options for 13 - 19 year olds. 
• Councillors Drop In
  A chance to meet with Councillor Kay Hammond and Dorothy Ross-Tomlin and discuss Surrey County Council business.
• Enterprise First
  Provides intended and existing small businesses with free, confidential and independent advice.   
• Get it On
  A service offered by the Primary Care Trust in partnership with SCC to under 21's to provide better prevention, contraception, advice and information services.
• Housing Options
  Covering all aspects of housing, providing information and advice to meet housing needs.
• Merstham Community Development
  Available to discuss any community issues regarding Merstham and it's regeneration.
• Next Step
  This Rent Deposit Scheme helps young people on a low income, who are looking for housing in the private rented sector, by offering a guarantee to landlords instead of a deposit.
• Next Step (Careers)
  Guidance and advice for adults in all aspects of learning and work.    
• Open Line
  Run by volunteer drivers who provide a transport and shopping service for elderly and disabled people who are unable to get out.
• Police Drop In
  The Community Police Officer holds a 'drop in' surgery for local residents.
• Raven Housing Trust
  A Housing Officer is available to answer Trust tenants' queries and provide advice. 
• Raven Housing Trust - Property Improvement
  A resident liaison officer is available to answer tenants queries on improvement works being carried out under the Merlin Project  (five year regeneration programme). 
• RBLI Pathways to work 
  A charitable organisation supporting individuals with disabilities. Delivering free back to work programmes and in-work support.
• Shaw Trust harder to help programme
  Support for those who have been on long term Incapacity Benefit to get back into the work place.
• Voluntary Association for Surrey Disabled 
  A mobile shop visits with a selection of equipment available to purchase or order.  
• Welcare
  A drop in working with children and families, particularly dealing with behaviour management, parenting skills, play and practical support.
