Vulnerable adults
This page is about adult safety events and information
Adults may be vulnerable because of their mental, physical or learning disability, their age or illness. Vulnerable adults are often harmed or exploited by others including, sadly, those who have been trusted to care for them.
Safeguarding Adults Awareness Week - June 16 - 20 2008
The aim of this Surrey County Council initiative is to form a partnership with the public to ensure that the abuse of vulnerable adults is understood, reported and thereby prevented.
There will be a week of informative events such as workshops, presentations, coffee mornings, discussion groups, videos and quizzes. These are open to everyone, beginning with a launch at Dorking Halls.
Details can be found on Surrey Safeguarding Awareness Week (Surrey County Council website, opens in new window).
