The Local Development Scheme

This section is intended to help people looking for information about the Local Development Scheme (LDS) and allows you to download the latest version.

The current project plan for the production of LDF documents is set out in the Local Development Scheme (LDS).

Priorities in the LDS

The Council has a number of plan making priorities set out in our LDS. We are producing a Core Strategy. This sets out the overall vision for our Borough, together with main policies and proposals that will achieve that vision. We are working on an Area Action Plan which outlines plans for the regeneration of Redhill Town Centre. Supplementary Planning Documents will provide more detail on some proposals, such as design and infrastructure provision in Horley, inclusive access, and regeneration for Merstham, Preston and Horley town centre. A Statement of Community Involvement explains how we intend to consult on planning and development matters. A Proposals Map, will show, on an Ordnance Survey map, all the proposed developments in the LDF. 

The LDS has been revised to take into account additional evidence base work. The Secretary of State has approved this revision and it was brought into effect on 19 March 2008.
