Sponsoring an event
This section provides information about the opportunities for businesses to sponsor Council-related events in the Borough.
The Borough Council works closely with local businesses to provide a whole range of events for schoolchildren in the Borough.
Those events range from Star for a Night in which youngsters take to the stage to perform in front of 500 people at the Harlequin, to a host of sporting events including Surrey Youth Games.
The support provided by those companies is crucial to the success of the events.
In return, the Council endeavours to promote its sponsors in media material. There are often other promotional opportunities too.
For example, in return for their help the companies who sponsored our teams in the Surrey Youth Games got to see their names and logos on the shirts at the Games, a high profile event attended by the local media and thousands of youngsters and parents.
Other sponsorship benefits include.the companies' names and logos appearing on the Borough Council's website, branding on banners, branding on a small advertising campaign, inclusion in press and publicity materials concerning the event and VIP tickets to the Surrey Youth Games.
