Statement of Community Involvement
This page outlines the council's approach to community involvement in the creation of planning policies and in determining planning applications.
As part of the Local Development Framework, the council has to produce a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).
The purpose of the Statement is to set out the council's policy for involving the community in the preparation, alteration and continuing review of all Local Development Documents and in Development Management decisions.
The SCI was formally adopted on 25 March 2010 and supersedes the previous SCI 2006.
