Redhill Town Centre Area Action Plan - Preferred Options Consultation Jan/Feb 2009

Reigate and Banstead Borough Council are now revisiting the Redhill Town Centre Area Action Plan from the Issues and Options stage. The Council previously consulted on Issues and Options and Preferred Options in 2006, then in May/June 2008 the Council consulted on a revised Issues and Options stage for four weeks. This consultation event was coupled with exhibitions at the Harlequin theatre and the Belfry shopping centre.
The Council then consulted on the Redhill Town Centre Area Action Plan Preferred Options document, between 9th January and the 20 February 2009. This was also supplemented with public exhibitions at the Harlequin and Belfry shopping centre. Results of this consultation process
Having completed the Issues & Options stage, officers were required to interpret the public responses received to inform the drafting of the Preferred Options document. However, the development of the Preferred Options required testing to ensure the best possible options were put forward prior to carrying out the statutory consultation. As a result numerous internal meetings have taken place and a public meeting (Developing Preferred Options Event) held on the 9th of September 2008 at the Harlequin.
