Reigate and Banstead Strategic Flood Risk Assessment
Flood risk is a key local issue and future development should (wherever possible) be steered towards areas of lowest risk.
The Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) provides a summary of the flood risk to the borough, taking account of flooding from all sources. The information contained in this document will be used to inform the location of future development.
Reigate and Banstead Strategic Flood Risk Assessment Report May 2012 (PDF document [1.3Mb])
The SFRA report should be read in conjunction with the flood maps provided below. These maps will be updated regularly as new mapping becomes available from the Environment Agency.
Area 1: The North Downs (North) (PDF document [2.6Mb])
Area 2: The Wealden Greensand Ridge (Central) (PDF document [2.3Mb])
Area 3: The Low Weald (South) (PDF document [2.3Mb])
Please note: These flood maps are not sufficiently detailed to show the risk of flooding to an individual property or specific site. The Environment Agency can provide more detailed information for use in site specific flood risk assessments. Environment Agency website.
Redhill Town Centre Area Action Plan Flood Risk Assessment
A separate flood risk assessment has been carried out for the area covered by the Redhill Town Centre Area Action Plan (RTCAAP). This document can be found on the RTCAAP Evidence page.
