Planning BVPIs
This section provides information on the best value performance indicators (BVPIs) which measure the Council's planning performance.
Best Value Performance Indicators are central government indicators of performance within local government.
Below is a downloadable report on the Borough Council's BVPIs relating to Planning.
The indicators are called as follows:
- BVPI 106 relates to the commitment of all major political parties to minimise loss of countryside to new building. The national target is 60%.
- BVPI 107 relates to gross costs of planning, but does not take account of fee income.
- BVPI 109 is concerned with the speed of planning decisions but does not take any account of the quality of those decisions.
- BVPI 188 concerns how many decisions are delegated to officers.
