Land charges - personal searches
This page provides information about land charges.
A personal search is an inspection of the Local Land Charges Register.
From 6 April 2009 other information relating to the CON29 (R) enquiries can also be obtained. Please see the Schedule of registers/Information for local search enquiries.
Please contact the Land Charges section when booking in your personal search to also book the Con 29R questions that you wish to ask. These will then be passed on to relevant departments informing them of the properties and questions required. The fee for the question can then be taken centrally by Land Charges.
- 21 April 2009 update - Con29 Schedule of registers/Information for local search enquiries is details of all the Con29 questions, how people can access the unrefined data and the associated costs.
- Annual Statement 0910 is the annual statement setting out estimates of costs and volumes used to calculate the charges set forward for access to unrefined data for 2009/10.
The Local Land Charges Register is available to people wishing to carry out a Personal Search between 9am – 4pm Monday – Friday by prior appointment.
Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the person carrying out the Personal Search to identify the land/property and to make any note of information held on the Register.
