Pay council tax bills by phone 24-7
Residents can now pay their council tax bills by 'phone at any time of day or night thanks to a new secure payment line.
From today, Tuesday 16 March 2010, Reigate & Banstead residents will be able to pay their council tax bills by ‘phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including bank holidays and Christmas, following the introduction of a new telephone payment facility.
Secure
All customers need to do is ring the telephone number on their bill to be connected to the Council’s secure automated payments line.
Convenient
Cllr Roger Newstead, Executive Member for Personnel and Business Transformation, said: “The launch of this service is a further step in Council’s programme to provide residents with more efficient and cost effective services and more choice in the way that they contact the Council.
“This is the latest automated telephone payment facility to be developed by the Council, enabling residents to pay their council tax bills at any time of day or night, whenever it is convenient for them. Customers can already pay parking fines and invoices by phone.”
To pay your council tax bill by phone, call the payments line on 01737 276727. You will need your 8 digit reference number which begins with a 4.
Pay online
Customers can also pay their council tax online as well parking fines (PCNs), business rates (NNDR), and invoices.
