April events in Priory Park
A Robin Hood day and an art workshop for beginners are among the events taking place in Priory Park during April.
Children of Sherwood
Priory Park doubles up as Sherwood Forest for a Robin Hood Day on Thursday 15 April. This special day-long event for children aged 8 to 12 combines creative activities and drama.
Youngsters will become the children of Sherwood for the day, making pieces of costume, acting out roles and even learning archery. Places cost £10.00 per child
Art workshop
On 23 April, local artist Lynda Clark will be running an art workshop for beginners. This afternoon workshop for adults will teach you about techniques and different textures. The session costs £5.00 per person.
Varied programme
Cllr Adam De Save, Executive Member for Leisure and Wellbeing, said: “This unique series of events has something for everyone, from children to families and adults.
"Since the restoration of Priory Park was completed in 2008, the park’s staff have been working hard to develop an interesting and varied programme of events throughout the year.
"More walks and events are being added to the programme all the time as it grows, so keep a look out for future events on our website, in the park pavilion or park notice boards.”
Booking details
Places on both events are limited so advanced booking is essential.
To book your place at either event, call in to the park office in the pavilion or email PrioryPark@reigate-banstead.gov.uk.
