Ladies' luncheon raises over £1500 for local charities
A ladies’ luncheon hosted by the Mayoress of Reigate & Banstead, Mrs Barbara Pay, raised over £1500 for the Mayor's charities.
The charities benefiting were Orbit shed, YMCA Reigate and Redhill, Priory Park Museum and St Catherine’s Hospice.
65 ladies attended the event, held at the Bridge House Hotel in Reigate on Tuesday 25 January 2011, where guest speaker, Richard Price of the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow talked about his career in antiques.
Benefit local people
The Mayoress said: "I am delighted that so many ladies were able to join me to raise so much money for the Mayor’s charities. I would like to thank all my guests for their generous support. The funds raised will benefit local people.
"I would also like to thank all the local businesses who donated raffle prizes and the Bridge House Hotel for a wonderful lunch."
