Sports festival 2011
This page is about the Sports festival that took place in Priory Park on Sunday 1 May 2011.
Following the success of last few years we again teamed up with the YMCA for an even bigger and better Sports festival on Sunday 1
May 2011. This year we were again supported by the Reigate & Banstead Sports Council who helped to organise the day.
The day was a huge success! the sun shone and Priory Park was full of representatives from local sports clubs giving demonstrations with some offering taster sessions, a sports car simulator, wind surf simulator, Ride the Hill's Big Ramp and the Spider Web climbing tower - a fun day out for all the family.
New experiences
The sports festival gives people the chance to come along to the park, meet the local sports clubs, have a go at a variety of sports, from croquet to boxing and everything in between.
The festival is completely free and everyone is welcome. The Festival ran from 11am-4pm in Reigate Priory Park - and there was plenty to keep the whole family entertained. It was a great day for local sporting opportunities.
YMCA Fun Run
At the same time hundreds of competitors took part in the YMCA’s Fun Run. The races start and finish in the park and include a five mile route around Reigate and a one mile fun around the park for 5-15 year olds.
