Another exciting season at The Harlequin

This season is full of great shows just waiting to be seen by you!

We have a wide array of fantastic family shows - Ballet Theatre UK return with the classic tale of The Little Mermaid, and two other children's favourites, The Jungle Book and Old MacDonald Had A Farm will be brought vividly to life on stage. We also have Postman Pat delivering a fun-filled show and perhaps the jewel in out crown is the return of Horrible Histories, with their brilliant Barmy Britain tour.

Morgan and West return to dazzle us with their slight of hand and we have brilliant comedy in the shape of Lee Hurst and Omid Djalili. If music is your passion, then we have some artists that are sure to hit the right note with you! Julian and Jiaxin Lloyd Webber bring a sophistWhat's On Brochure Feb-Sept14icated evening with their show 'A Tale of Two Cellos', Suggs promises a raucous evening of music and memories from his time leading Madness and Showaddywaddy return with their perfect pop. We also have some fantastic tribute acts performing incredible renditions of David Bowie, Steely Dan, Buddy Holly and many more.

We are pleased to announce the return of the Arts Festival in April, which will offer a chance to see much of the area's local talent as various different art groups converge upon The Harlequin.

The Waller Cinema

The Harlequin’s Waller Cinema has taken the step into the new age of film viewing by installing a new digital projector. The Harlequin waved goodbye to its Cinemeccanica Victoria 5 35mm cinema projector and welcomed a SONY SRX-R515, which will generate improved sound and picture quality for our 100 seat cinema.

Our family friendly venue is excellent value for money and a perfect setting for the latest adventure, comedy, children or drama releases. We also offer great value popcorn, sweets, ice creams and drinks.

Adults £7, Concessions £6, Groups (10+) £5.50

Saturday Morning Cinema Club

A great chance to come and see some fantastic family films for fantastic value during term time – just £4 for an adult and child! Upgrade to a Mid-Morning Munch Club ticket for just £6 - which includes admission, a Robinsons Fruit Shoot and a small popcorn.

Subtitled Screenings

Our Subtitled Screenings are film screenings with caption subtitles. These are similar to English subtitles for foreign language films, but for English language films. They inform the cinemagoer of any significant music, sung speech or sound effects – especially if any of these are taking place off-screen.

Audio Described Screenings

An audio described performance is a standard screening ideal for visually impaired people. It works by playing a recorded narration, explaining what's happening on screen, during gaps in the dialogue, through personal headphones.
