Earlswood Common circular walk

One of the special Millennium trails in the borough.

Walking across the Earlswood Commons and the surrounding countryside offers an enjoyable day out for the whole family.

As this is a circular walk it doesn't matter where you start walking from, as it will always bring you back to the same point.

The walk starts at the car park at the Earlswood Lakes in Woodhatch Road and is 7.5km (4.6 miles) long. If you think that this may be too far there is a short cut that roughly halves the distance.

The map for this is currently being updated so not available on this page at present.  If you would like the old copy email: greenspaces@reigate-banstead.gov.uk

Ancient woodland

Whichever route you choose you are sure to enjoy your walk as you stroll through ancient woodland and grassy meadows, alive with the sound of birds and insects.

You will cross brooks, streams and in summer you may spot those little aerial flashes of colour in the form of damsel and dragonflies.

The terrain of the area is not too demanding as there are few slopes and most paths are in good condition.

Picnic spots and pubs

You will come across places suitable for a rest and even a picnic. There are also a couple of pubs on route for those who may require stronger refreshment or the benefits of a hot meal.

At the end of your walk you can relax by the Earlswood Lakes with a cup of tea from the refreshment kiosk.
