This page advises and warns about high summer temperatures.
Heat becomes a problem when the average day and night temperatures exceed 30c and 15c respectively.
These temperatures can have a significant effect upon people’s health if they last for at least two days. In the event that the region is experiencing long period of high temperatures, a heatwave alert may be issued.
It is important to ensure that you stay well hydrated and limit the amount of time you are exposed to direct sunlight.
