Sandbags
This page provides information about the availability of sandbags for use in a flood.
Properties at risk of flooding to habitable rooms
Reigate & Banstead Borough Council will provide filled sandbags to protect properties at risk of flooding to habitable rooms free of charge.
A maximum of 30 sandbags can be provided per property.
There is a Priority Order for delivering sandbags at times of flood. The Council’s top priority is to protect against internal flooding of properties
- already known to have flooded previously
- registered as being at risk of flooding.
All properties for which sandbags are supplied will be put on the Council's 'At Risk' Register.
Other requests for sandbags
Reigate & Banstead Borough Council will sell filled sandbags to residents at times that will not conflict with the supply as above.
The cost is £2 per bag, plus a £25 delivery charge.
Residents will be allowed a maximum of 30 sandbags per property.
All properties for which sandbags are supplied will be put on the Council's 'At Risk' Register.
Flooded roads
Surrey County Council also has facilities for supplying sandbags for highway related flooding.
