This page provides information about waste disposal tips in and around the borough.
Surrey has 15 Community Recycling Centres (CRC), commonly referred to as 'The Tip', 'The Dump' or 'The Civic Amenity Site'. The CRC's are operated by Sita Surrey on behalf of Surrey County Council to recycle household waste only.
Your local recycling centres, throughout the borough, can recycle glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles, paper and card, cans and tins, textiles and shoes and foil.
Your nearest Community Recycling Centre
If you drive a van, pick up truck, or pull a trailer you will need an electronic permit to access the sites. This is to ensure trade waste is kept out of the sites.
Surrey County Council operate a Surrey resident scheme (Surrey County Council website) at four of the CRC's including Blenheim Road, Epsom.
Recycling at Community Recycling Centres
CRC's can recycle more materials in addition to our local recycling centres throughout the borough including:
- electrical and electronic (WEEE)
- tetra paks
- bulky rigid plastic including buckets, storage boxes, drain pipes, guttering, large children's toys, garden furniture, flower pots larger than 12 inches in diameter. They are unable to recycle electrical goods made of plastic e.g. vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, UPVC window frames, any items with wood content, plastic packaging
- fluorescent tubes.

If you are travelling to the Community Recycling Centre to dispose of your waste, please take time to think about what could be recycled while you are there, rather than simply thrown away for landfill disposal.
