The Part IIA Public Register
This page is about the Part IIA Public Register
The council is required to make a public record of the regulatory actions that it takes in respect of land that it has identified as contaminated (within the meaning of the statute). The information is placed on a public register.
This register is not a register of contaminated land. There was a proposal to introduce a register of contaminated land under section 143 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 but the section was revoked in the early 1990’s.
There are no entries on the register
The IIA register can be inspected free of charge at the council offices. However, at present there are no entries on the register. Should an entry be made then the register will be published on this website.
