Prioritising land for individual site inspection
This page is about prioritising land for individual site inspection.
Upon completion of the land quality database the data will be processed so that we can identify the sites that require inspection and the order in which the council will inspect them.
Broadly, the principle of prioritising land for inspection will be based on the coincidence of a sensitive receptor with a historic land use that had potential to cause contamination of the ground.
We will be confirming the prioritisation procedure with the councils Executive when we are in a position to proceed with prioritisation, but it is expected that humans will be the most important receptor followed by controlled waters, ecosystems and finally property.
