Industrial pollution
This section provides information about industrial pollution prevention and control and what the Council is doing about it.
Many industrial activities have potential to cause pollution of air, land and water. Those that have the greatest potential to pollute are required to have a permit under the under the Pollution Prevention & Control Act 1999 which replaces a similar scheme that existed under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
This section will be of interest to business and to anyone who is interested in the schemes including viewing a register of the activities within the Reigate & Banstead area.
