Tap into Savings Project
Tap into Savings is an exciting year-long community project aimed to save water, energy and money for local residents
The projects is aimed at local residents in Reigate &
Banstead Borough and particularly focused on the Merstham and Redhill areas.
As part of the project, almost 1000 local homes are being fitted with water and energy saving products and being given the chance to join an EcoTeam.
Free energy and water saving gadgets
Selected households are being offered a range of water saving products, including devices which reduce the amount of water used to flush toilets, aerated showerheads and special fittings for taps.
The devices will help residents use less water, including less hot water which will save them money.
Residents will also be encouraged to take control of their energy bills with the help of free energy monitors and a range of other free energy saving products.
Launch details
The Tap into Savings project was launched at the Belfry Shopping Centre in February 2010.
It is one of several projects across England that will jointly involve over 10,000 people, making it one of the biggest water and energy saving projects in the UK.

- Peter Ainsworth MP for East Surrey
- Trewin Restorick, Chief Executive, Global Action Plan.
