The Merstham estate is a priority regeneration area for the council and its public and voluntary sector partners. This section is about the work to improve opportunities for local people and to improve the physical environment on the estate.
Proposals for improvements to the Merstham estate, in and around Portland Drive, were approved by the Council’s Executive on 17 November 2011. The proposals include new retail facilities, a new community hub, new housing, and improvements to public spaces and pedestrian links. The formal consultation documents can be downloaded from the Merstham Estate Local Centre Planning Framework page. Additional information can be found on the Physical Regeneration of the Merstham Estate page.
Public consultation took place during August and September 2011. Thank you to everyone who has given their views. A summary of the findings can be viewed on the consultation feedback page.
