Bus shelters

The majority of bus shelters within our borough are supplied and maintained by J C Decaux.
An agreement with the company means that they provide bus shelters in exchange for the exclusive right to display advertisements on them.
As well as supplying advertising shelters, the agreement requires the company to supply a number of non-advertising shelters, we have decided on the location of these shelters.
Each shelter requires planning permission and is licensed by the Highway Authority, Surrey County Council.
Some of the older style of wooden shelters are owned and maintained by the Borough.
These shelters tend to be in more rural locations or conservation areas.
