Planning Committee
This section is intended to help people looking for information about the Planning Committee.
The Planning Committee considers major planning applications, including housing, shopping and office developments.
The application is first evaluated by Council officers, who provide a report and recommendation to the committee. The committee normally meets every four weeks, to decide whether or not to grant planning permission in relation to specific applications.

The Planning Committee consists of 19 Members (politically balanced).
Membership of the Committee for 2012-13 will be added following Annual Council on 24 May.
