Community Transport Review Panel
This section provides information about the Community Transport Review Panel 2004-05
Membership:
Councillor R.M. Bennett (Chairman), Councillors S.A. Gates, K. Hagerty, Mrs F.D.M. Dixon and S.A. Kulka.
Remit
The Executive is undertaking a review of the Dial a Ride service that forms part of the Community Transport facilities available to the community. The Panel has been established to review and comment on the options for the future delivery of this service by the Council in the context of future change that will be introduced in the future.
Current position
The Panel met on 30 November 2004 and considered the draft report on the review of the options for the future delivery of the Dial a Ride service.
The report of the Panel was considered by the Executive on 8 December when it was decided to defer consideration of the review to allow more time to consider additional options identified.
The Panel met again on 16 February 2005 to consider and comment on the further work/options undertaken so that these comments can be considered by the Executive.
The Panel requested that further work be undertaken to examine other options and to extend the consultation exercise to service users. If this request is accepted there will also be a consequent change to the timetable for its consideration by the Executive.

Next meeting
The Panel has completed its work for this year, so has no future meetings planned.
