Consultations: equality information
This page contains equality related data from consultations we have carried out.
Equality Objectives
Under the Public Sector Equality Duty, local authorities are required to set equality objectives. We initially set four corporate 'working objectives' so we could find out whether people agreed with them. We also wanted to know more about any problems people faced in accessing our services so that we could incorporate these issues into our objectives. These consultations helped us to set our final Equality Objectives.
The results of our consultations can be viewed in the reports which you can download below:

Household Surveys
The Council has carried out resident satisfaction surveys in 2008 and 2011. Some equalities data was collected during these consultation exercises. You can download the results of these surveys below:
Previous Equalities Scheme
We consulted with a range of stakeholders on our Equalities Scheme 2007, and we held a follow up event in May 2008. This event helped us to develop a better understanding of equalities issues locally. Read more about those we consulted and the issues that were raised.
Equalities Focus Group membership
The Equalities Focus Group members can provide valuable insight and expertise to support the equalities work being undertaken by the Council. If you or your group would like to be considered for focus group membership please contact us at community.liaison@reigate-banstead.gov.uk.
