Mayor's Volunteer Awards
This page is about an awards scheme which seeks to recognise and reward those who give their time as volunteers. This award was formerly known as the Mayor's Annual Community Award.
The Mayor's Volunteer Awards were introduced in 2004 under their former name of The Mayor's Annual Community Awards. The awards seek to celebrate the role of the voluntary sector in serving the borough and its residents and to recognise and reward volunteers for their time and commitment in helping others, and their continued dedication to serving their community.
The nominations for these awards are taken in any of the five following categories:
- Individual volunteer
- Young volunteer (up to 25 yrs)
- Volunteer team
- Trustee (individual)
- Trustee team.
The 2011 awards ceremony will took place on 18 October.

This annual scheme is organised by Reigate & Banstead Borough Council in partnership with Reigate and Banstead Voluntary Service.
Nominations for the 2012 awards will open in May.
