Surgeries held at Help Shops

This section provides information about the surgeries held at the Council's Help Shops.

  • Accent Peerless (Housing Association)
    A Housing Officer is available, by appointment, to answer tenants' queries and provide advice.
  • Alzheimers Society
    A weekly surgery to give support and advice to the carers of those with dementia.
  • Business Link
    Clinics to provide the information, advice and support you need to maintain and grow a business. 
  • Carers Help Desk
    Partnership of carers support agencies offering advice, information, support and help with benefit claims. 
  • Enterprise First
    Provides free one to one confidential and impartial advice to new and developing small businesses. 
  • Hyde Housing 
    A Housing Officer is available, by appointment, to answer tenants' queries and provide advice. 
  • Merstham Community Development
    Available to discuss any community issues regarding Merstham and it's regeneration.
  • Next Step
    This Rent Deposit Scheme helps young people on a low income, who are looking for housing in the private rented sector, by offering a guarantee to landlords instead of a deposit.
  • Next Step (Careers) 
    A free impartial information and advice service for all adults regarding learning and work. This can include helping people with their job search, creating cvs and preparing application forms. Also training opportunities available.  
  • Police Drop In
    The Community Police Officer holds a 'drop in' surgery for local residents.
  • Raven Housing Trust
    A Housing Officer is available to answer Trust tenants' queries and provide advice. 
  • Raven Housing Trust - Property Improvement
    A resident liaison officer is available to answer tenants queries on improvement works being carried out under the Merlin Project  (five year regeneration programme).
  • Surrey Family Information Service and Careers Working with Children
    Advice and information for parents/carers of 0-19s (or 0-25s if special needs) on services in Surrey for children and careers advice on opportunities for working with children and young people.  
  • Surrey Youth Service Working with young people and their families to reduce the risks associated with offending behaviour. Also work to strengthen protective factors in the lives of young people (education, training, employment, sport and leisure pursuits)
