2011 consultations

We really appreciate all the feedback we get from residents, stakeholders and partner agencies on all the consultations we run, here is a summary of what has actually happened with your views in 2011.

Jan 2011Leisure Satisfaction Survey209 responses from Donyngs users, 262 responses from Banstead and 16 from Horley Anderson. These results will be used as a benchmark with satisfaction at the start of the contract
Jan 2011Annual non-domestic rate spending plan consultation87 businesses attended the event which was sponsored by Kingston Smith and Robinsons Commercial and run in conjunction with FSB and Surrey Chambers.
May 2011Banstead Pool Survey509 interviews carried out at 49 sampling points, 88% wanted a wet and dry option and 6% wanted a dry only option.
Aug 2011Council Tax Survey250 face to face interviews carried out across 4 locations to understand peoples views on Council Tax. Residents were asked their views on Council Tax and if it provides good value for money.  Just under half of respondents (48%) agree that it provides good value for money, 36% of respondents disagree that it provides good value for money.
 Aug 2011Proposed Air Quality Management Area - HooleyThere were 5 written responses enquiries following a resonation to the Residents Association. There were no disagreements to the proposals.
Aug 2011Equalities SurveyThe survey was sent to 50 stakeholder groups and put on the RBBC intranet to see their views on the equalities objectives.  We received 31 responses from stakeholders and 26 responses from RBBC staff.  Overall responses supported continued work on improving the equalities evidence base, working on the objective to communicate effectively and working to encourage resident/customer involvement in service provision.
Sept 2011Priory Park Play survey

An online and face to face survey was carried out on satisfaction with the play area in Priory Park.  The results will help inform our work schedule for maintainance.  We also asked users views on the sand in the park which is causing damage to some of the other equipment.

Overall there were 243 respondents the views on the sand issue was fairly mixed:
Keep the sand as it is                        51% (124)
Put the sand in smaller contained pits 42% (101)
Remove the sand altogether                7% (18)
